Gotcha.. well it is certainly the best interface I've seen for doing this
type of inline editing. I've tried some of the other plugins that people
have done for dokuwiki that do exactly what I want but the java gui
interface is/was way to buggy to use in a production sence. Hopefully
someone will fill this void in an open source way. Thanks

From what I understand they don't license their code under a open
source license but give away free Confluence Plugin licenses to users
running a Confluence Wiki with OpenSource content (eg. Creative Commons
licensed). So you won't see this thing integrated in any OpenSource
Wiki soon.
