One thing to bear in mind is that these devices sometimes have two USB
connectors to get sufficient power into the unit (I assume some form of
current limiting on individual ports). You will need to ensure that you
have 2 spare ports.
I think you are right, it does seem to require two USB ports.
It's a device aimed at Laptop etc users for backup, so I would assume/hope
the power requirement would be low.
