exceptionally busy at the moment, so this might be a good thing.

It would not really have to finished. We would just have to make clear
to contributors what we guarantee to deliver and what might be done on
top of that. A lot of people would already be happy with improved
sprite rendering.

OK, I will have a word with John. Interestingly, John has asked me in
2003 whether I would be interested in doing precisely this project.
Unfortunately, I did not persue it then and I somehow forgot about it
later. As I mentioned earlier I do have the source code from ROSL
already (but I will check the conditions with them anyway), so it
almost looks like everything is ready to go...
