I've just uploaded Ovation Pro for Windows 2.92 (9th. January 2007).

This fixes the bug with not saving style key press information in DDL files.

See:

That was quick. Thanks a lot.

The thing with assigning key presses in the Edit window is an oddity. The safest thing is to click on the name of the style in the scrolling pane - so it shows a dotted outline. Then press the desired key.

What tends to happen is that you click on the New button, define a new style, close the new window. Then you find that pressing a key does nothing. Look closely and the new button has a dotted line inside it, in other words it still has the input focus.

Therein lay the problem --- as I recall, the dotted outline only appeared fleetingly, then disappeared again. But I have now restored all the keypresses. So, hopefully, I won't have any more problems in that area.

Re. the "There was a problem sending the command to the program" issue. Windows seems to suggest there are some missing/corrupted DLLs. When I can locate my SP2 boot disk, I'll attempt a repair and see if that fixes the problem.
