Make your plans to take part in a fun, festive holiday tradition! The 
Bristol Bird Club will be having its annual Christmas party at the home 
of John and Polly Moyle at 4027 Glen Alpine Road, Kingsport. The 
festivities will begin at 6:00 PM this Saturday evening.
All the good cooks out there bring a favorite dish or two - or even 
three if you like. It must be a requirement for BBC members to be able 
to cook because Santa told me that every member he knows really knows 
how to dish it up. Bring yourself and as Wallace always says, "Bring 
your mother-in-law and an inexpensive gift. Bring your best fun-loving 
attitude and we will all have a great holiday time.
I understand that Santa or one of his elves or maybe the Christmas Great 
Gray Owl will be there to bring Christmas greetings from up north. I got 
this from one of Santa's helpers,

The coordinates are 36° 28' 56"N, 82° 36' 49"W (NAD27), more or less.  
So dial it into your GPS. If you don't have a GPS, here are the 
directions, with a couple of variations, to the Moyle's home on Glen 
Alpine Road.  Their phone number is 423 349-6440

*From Bristol:
**Take I-81 south to I-181 North.  This is exit 57from I-81.  Follow 
I-181 to the second exit (exit 51, Wilcox Drive/Kingsport).  Follow the 
exit ramp and get in the left lane.  At the light at the end of the 
ramp, turn left onto Sullivan Gardens Parkway.  Follow the Parkway (Rt. 
93) for 3 to 3.5 miles and take a right onto Lone Star Drive (Rt. 347).  
Follow for 0.5 miles (around two sharp turns) and turn right onto Potato 
Hill Road.  Follow Potato Hill Road for about 0.3 miles to a T 
intersection with Glen Alpine Road.  Turn left onto Glen Alpine and 
follow for about 0.25 miles.  On your left you will begin seeing our 
split rail fence, turn left into our driveway between two brick posts 
(#4027).  Follow the driveway across a small bridge and up a hill for 
about 3/8 mile.  At the top of the hill, turn left to the house.* 

*From Johnson City:
**Follow the directions for Bristol above from I-181 on. I-181 is the 
northward extension of I-26. Follow I-181 to the second exit past I-81 
(exit 51, Wilcox Drive/Kingsport).  Follow the exit ramp and get in the 
left lane.  At the light at the end of the ramp, turn left onto Sullivan 
Gardens Parkway.  Follow the Parkway (Rt. 93) for 3 to 3.5 miles and

From Kingsport (alternate): 
Take Wilcox Drive south.  Turn right onto Meadowview Parkway.  Continue 
on Meadowview past the Conference Center.  As you go under the I 181 
underpass, Glen Alpine Road will be a left turn approximately three 
miles ahead.  Do not be concerned as Meadowview parkway will change its 
name to Reservoir Road.  The left turn is off of Reservoir.  After 
turning left onto Glen Alpine,  our driveway is about 100 yards ahead on 
the right.  Enter between the posts and follow the driveway to the top 
of the hill and bear left to the house.
