TOS President-Elect Danny Gaddy said Tuesday he plans to have a TOS Round Table
Breakfast Sunday morning (Dec. 12) at Johnson City. The gathering will be at 8
a.m. at Shoney's on North Roan Street.
He hopes that birders and members of the Tennessee Ornithological Society who
live in the region and have an interest in the state TOS, will come and share
his thoughts, directions and expectations for his term as president of the
state ornithological society.
Danny says he hopes to open the door for creative ideas and the advancement of
old and new TOS programs and views. He believes TOS has a diverse and rich
heritage, many valuable and influential resources and a great community of
birders. He believes the future looks very bright for bird conservation,
research, education and birding in Tennessee as well as TOS's investment and
role.
He wants everyone who can possibly attend to join the TOS Round Table Breakfast
and let's sit for awhile and talk about what can happen and where we will be
going in a few short years ahead as well as a long-term future. He will share
is views and he wants to hear from other birders and TOS members from the
region.
The breakfast will be dutch with everyone picking up their own meal tab. It
will last about as long as a typical bird club meeting. Shoney's has a good
breakfast buffett and a good breakfast menu. Some of us may want to go birding
after the round table.
This is the first of this kind of activity held in Northeast Tennessee. It has
promise and holds great excitement for the leadership role of area birders.
Let's go birding...
