Bristol Area Birders:

The Bristol Christmas Bird Count will be held Sunday, Dec. 28 -- this weekend.  

Here are parties and the leaders for those of you who may want to join a
party.  Contact the leader of your choice right now if you want to make
arrangements to join them.  The leader will give you the meeting location,
time and other details for their party.

Party leaders will be Rick Knight, Wallace Coffey, Ron Carrico, Richard
Lewis, Larry McDaniel and Bert Hale.

Knight's <RKnight@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Phone 423-282-5297  party (Area A) will
include the southwest area of west Bristol, Steele Creek Park to the Holston
River near Emmett.  That party will include Knight and Tom McNeil.

Coffey's <jwcoffey@xxxxxxxxxx> party  (Area B) will include east Bristol,
Middlebrook Lake to the Weir Dam, lower South Holston Lake to Saddle Dam at
Observation Knob Park.  The party will include Coffey, Andy Jones, Mike Poe,
Linda Newman, Dexter Newman and Rack Cross.

Carrico's <aveprsut@xxxxxxxxxx> partyPhone 423- 968-2553 (Area C) includes
the Flatwoods Area of the Cherokee National Forest along the foothills of
Holston Mountain and some areas of South Holston Lake.  The party will
include Carrico and Rob Biller <MerlinZ02@xxxxxxx> Phone 423-647-3131 (cell).

Lewis'  <mountainbirds@xxxxxxxxx> party Phone 423-878-2505 (Area D) includes
areas mostly northeast of Saddle Dam at Observation Park and South Holston
Lake at Musick's Campground up the lake to Avens Bridge in Virginia.   The
party will include Lewis and Don Holt.

McDaniel's <lmcdaniel@xxxxxxxxxxxx> party Phone 423-282-5182 (Area E)
includes Jonesborough Rd. in Virginia and I-81 from about Battle High School
north to Abingdon and the Wyndale Area north of I-81.   The party includes
McDaniel, Dave Worley, Janice Martin and Ruth Smith.

Hale's <blhale@xxxxxxxx>  party Phone 423-538-7650 (Area F) includes the
area of Wallace, VA,  all of Bristol Virginia, area north of the stateline
to include Clear Creek Lake.  The party includes Bert Hale, Lorraine Hale,
Ken Hale and Bob Quillen.
