Area Birders:

The Bristol Bird Club will meet this week (Tuesday, Dec. 17) at 7:30 p.m. at
the Steele Creek Park Conference Center adjancent to the Steele Creek Park
Nature Center in Bristol Tennessee to make finaly arrangements for three
upcoming Christmas Bird Counts.

Spread sheets, maps, area assignments, party assignments and compilation
planning will be completed at this time.

This is one of our best attended monthly meetings of the year as excitement
grows and we complete not only count plans but sideline social events which
surround the parties.  Some meet for breakfast, others for dinners and some
even plan overnights in mountain cabins.

If you plan to attend any one of our three Christams Bird Counts this year
you should be at the Conference Center to hear presentations made by the
count compilers and, get the spirit and join in the cheerleading.

Saturday, Dec. 21,  Shady Valley-Mountain City CBC     Rob Biller,

Saturday, Jan. 4,    Glade Spring CBC,  Ron Harrington, compiler

Remember that there is a $5.00 participation fee charged by the National
Christmas Count program for each count you go on.  Please remember that
payment is to be made this week to Janice Martin, Treasurer of the BBC.  She
will be at the meeting and handle all funds.   The payments sent to the
count will be checks drawn on the Bristol Bird Club.

All participants for all counts should be registered with the club as soon
as possible.

Anyone in the region who would like to participate in any of these counts is
invited to attend Tuesday night's planning meeting and jump right in.
