Area Birders,

Saturday, while on the way to Johnson City I kept an eye out for birds. I
always pay special attention to the large, open fields along the road. I'll
always look at the fence rows and power lines. This all turned out to the
good, as I got to see four American Kestrels perched on the power lines. Two
of them were in Lebanon, one in Bristol, and one in Abingdon. They are a
really colorful bird; very pretty. However this wasn't the first time that I
had seen one, as i got my first one a football practice one evening.
