An Eastern Screech Owl has taken up residence in our Kestrel Box and the Great
Horned Owls are performing their nightly mating arias - it's quite a concert!
Late this afternoon on the lake:
Gadwalls - 6
Ring-necked Ducks - 2
Bufflehead - 1 FOS
Coots - 60+
Pied-billed Grebes - 6
Canada Geese
Great Blue Herons
10/31 last day we saw an Osprey
11/5 White-crowned Sparrows FOS
Last Sunday I saw my first mink here - the little guy popped his head out of a
hole on the bank near the kayak ramp - a nice surprise!
