Glen Alpine Road
Kingsport
Sullivan County
On November 13, just before 10 o'clock a.m., I found a lone american woodcock
in the puddles along side route 93 (Sullivan Gardens Parkway) where the new
athletic fields are being prepared on the est side of the highway. The bird
was in front of the northern cluster of fields. About five minutes later, I
observed an immature bald eagle soaring northeast (away from the Tennessee
Eastman plant ) over the Holston river. John Moyle
