Some notable birds recently seen at Winged Deer Park in Johnson City include
Northern Harrier 11/6/04
Eastern Wood Pewee 11/6/04
House wren 11/7/04
Brown Thrasher 11/6/04
Chipping Sparrows 11/7/04
An amusing sighting was when our dog Pepper was wading in the lake, a Great
Blue Heron swooped at her and swalked loudly. Pepper freaked. She took off
running full speed and finally plopped on the ground beside me terrified. She's
a little reluctant to go wading now.
