I was up in northern Virginia over the weekend, so I do not know the exact
date of the beginning of the invasion. However, on our return on Tuesday
(11/03), I found dark-eyed juncos and white-throated sparrows in significant
numbers
....... probably 30 or so of each on my property. It is hard to estimate the
actual number because the fly often and are scattered throughout the mood
margins, lawns and fallow field. I will begin trying to sort out any more
unusual species that might be with them, tomorrow and Friday. I am up to 83
species
of birds in or over my property since the end of May, when we moved in here.
