[Bristol-Birds] longspurs & cranes

This morning on Keebler Rd., just south of Limestone in Washington Co., there
were 2-3 Lapland Longspurs mixed in with 80+ Horned Larks, plus 12 Am. Pipits
and 2 Harriers. This is the same site where I found a single longspur earlier
in the month & where up to 8 wintered last year.
On my way home, I spied 2 Sandhill Cranes flying over Hairetown Rd., near
Jonesborough. I tried to follow them, but lost them behind a ridge. They may
have settled into a corn field.
Both of these species are rare, but increasing, in northeast Tenn.
