[Bristol-Birds] 4 grebe day - South Holston Lake

This afternoon (9 Nov) I met up with several
members of the Greeneville Chapter of TOS
to bird some areas near Bristol.
Middlebrook Lake (in Bristol)
Ring-nk Duck: 202
Hooded Merganser: 51
Gadwall: 8
Am. Wigeon: 1
cormorant: 1
S. Holston River weir
Am. Wigeon: 19
Green-wg Teal: 7
Bufflehead: 50
Hooded Merganser: 2
S. Holston Lake (at Musick's)
Com. Loon: 1
Pied-billed Grebe: 16
Horned Grebe: 4
Eared Grebe: 2
RED-NK. GREBE: 1
cormorant: 3
Wood Duck: 1
Gadwall:3
Green-wg Teal: 17
Ring-nk Duck: 1
Am. Coot: 50+
Bonaparte's Gull: 7
Ring-billed Gull: 2
earlier, at Austin Springs (near Johnson City)
Spotted Sandpiper: 1 (rather late)
All in all, not bad for Northeast Tenn.
