Holt farm, Central Community, Carter County, TN
Saturday morning a female Indigo Bunting remained in the thicket edging my
backyard, where I had also seen it the day before. With it was a Swainson's
Thrush, the first I have ever seen in my yard. (I wanted to think that it was
waiting for my two acre dogwood plantation to reach the optimal stage of
ripeness.)
