I visited Erwin Fishery Park, Erwin, Unicoi County, on the evening of 
Thursday, Oct. 4.
The birding would have been excellent, if I had had binoculars.

Still, I managed to locate a Northern Waterthrush, Cape May Warbler, 
Magnolia Warbler, a couple of Tennessee Warblers and several Palm 
Warblers and Yellow-rumped Warblers.
I also saw two thrushes, probably Swainson's, but maybe without my 
binoculars I won't make that call.
A few other birds of interest included Belted Kingfisher, Eastern 
Phoebe and, over downtown Erwin, hundreds of Chimney Swifts.
The warblers did cooperate by responding to "pishing" and coming in 
close for an ID even without binoculars.
So, if these are the ones I got, I wonder what got away?

Also, at home in Hampton, Carter Co., TN, on Thursday morning I still 
had Gray Catbirds and Ruby-throated Hummingbirds present.
