Attending were Tess Cumbie, Gil Derouen, Reece Jamerson, Brookie and Jean
Potter, Bryan Stevens and David Thometz.
We had eight species of warblers: Tennessee Warbler, Northern Parula, Cape
May Warbler, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Black-throated Green Warbler,
Blackburnian Warbler, Palm Warbler and Hooded Warbler. The male Hooded Warbler
was
present streamside at a fallen, moss-covered log, exactly in the same location
as
seen by Stevens on Friday.
We had a total of 39 species.
Other good birds included: Chimney Swift, Tree Swallow, Blue-headed Vireo and
Pied-billed Grebe.
Three more Saturday walks remain in October. Everyone is welcome. Meet at 8
a.m. in parking lot at Sycamore Shoals State Park each Saturday in October.
