[Bristol-Birds] Northern Waterthrush / Bay-breasted Warbler - Buchanan Co., VA

Bristol Birders,
I decided to look for birds around my house after a late day thunder shower
today. The first bird I saw was a waterthrush under our hemlock tree. At
first I thought it might be an incredibly late Louisiana but then noted the
dense streaks and faint yellow wash of a Northern Waterthrush. This was a new
yard bird for Michelle and me.
I then walked down along the Levisa river and noted a Bay-breasted Warbler, a
fairly late Tennessee Warbler, and at least 4 Blue-headed Vireos. Eight Wood
Ducks were also seen floating down the river away from me.
Going back to school has taken a lot of time away from my birding but you can
still find great birds just taking a 15 minute walk through your yard.
