Today at noon I found a juv. Long-billed Dowitcher at Austin Springs,
near Johnson City. It was on the lakeshore mudflats in the company of 5
Dunlins. The ID was confirmed by call. There are few verified records
of Long-bill in northeast Tenn., most dowitchers IDed to species here
are Short-bills.
Also present:
Greater Yellowlegs - 1
N. Pintail - 1 female
Tree Swallow - 20
Lincoln's Sparrow - 1
