[Bristol-Birds] October Saturday Walks, Sycamore Shoals, Elizabethton, TN

The second of five October Saturday bird walks by the Lee&Lois Herndon
Chapter of TOS was held this morning at Sycamore Shoals State Park,
Elizabethton,
Carter County, TN.
Attending were Gilbert Derouen, Dianne Draper, Brookie and Jean Potter, Bryan
Stevens and David Thometz.
We had 34 species, compared to 31 last week. Highlights included great looks
at Cape May Warbler, Swainson's Thrush, Blue-headed Vireo and Rose-breasted
Grosbeak.

7. Red-bellied Woodpecker

13. Carolina Wren
14. Eastern Bluebird
15. American Robin
16. Swainson's Thrush
17. Northern Mockingbird
18. European Starling
19. Cedar Waxwing
20. Blue-headed Vireo
21. American Redstart
22. Black-throated Green Warbler
23. Cape May Warbler
24. Yellow-rumped Warbler
25. Scarlet Tanager
26. Nothern Cardinal
27. Rose-breasted Grosbeak
28. Chipping Sparrow
29. Song Sparrow
30. Eastern Towhee
31. Red-winged Blackbird
32. Common Grackle
33. House Finch
34. American Goldfinch
Still three more walks in October. Starts at 8 a.m. each Saturday in the
parking lot at Sycamore Shoals. Join us next week.
