[bristol-birds] (Rare but) Amazing bird!!!!!!!

Wonderful Birders:
About 16:00 hrs My Mother and I saw and video taped A imm.
RED-HEADED WOODPECKER,
behind my house in Crandule, Shady Valley, Johnson county, TN. Hwy. 133.
Elev. 2600
Status: Rare Spring and Fall. Historic Summer resident in Shady.
Spring: (1) 25 Apr 1966 (Shumate)
(1) 13 May 1967 (Coffey and Shumate)
Summer: (1) early June 1934 (Ganier and Tyler).
Fall: (1) 1 Oct 1999 (Shumate, the last record since 1967)
it has only been seen 4 times since 1934!
It is a very shy Bird, I have seen it come back and forth to the clothes
line pole all this week,, Hopefully it will stick around awhile
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
