Bristol Area Birders:

Todd Perkins, who posted to the Bristol Birds about the
birds he saw at Rural Retreat Lake in Wythe County, Va.,
and on his way home, is the youngest member of
the Buchanan Co. Bird Club.  I think he is around 15, plays
football at Grundy, and has learned more about birds in the
past year than most people who have been birding several
years.  Todd's grandfather got him interested in birding
through his hobby of photographing hummingbirds.  

We have some talented, new, young birders in our
area and we always want to take special note of their
discoveries, accomplishments and reports.  It is not just
because they are young.  It is because we all like to be
recognized for the good birds and good reports we
share.
