Hey folks,
I'm glad to get a chance to watch birds at home for a change (had the
day off). Woke up to Palm Warblers in my driveway. I thought they were
small for sparrows!
Also had what I think was a Willow Flycatcher (an uneducated guess, based on
inconspicuous eye-ring and grayish more than greenish above). Empidonax
nonetheless, flicking his tail non-stop.
Hummers still around, wish they could stay.
Got home this evening after rescuing an injured box turtle. Had a message
from my brother, Jim. Check out Don Miller's posting on tnbirds. Somebody
should look in the trunk of his car and see if he's carrying a pink plastic
flamingo! I'm out of Greene County one day and see what happens, Roseate
Spoonbills fall out of the sky! Oh well, think I'll go watch another Robin.
