Carver's Gap on Roan Mtn
Carter Co., TN & Mitchell Co., NC
N. Harrier: singles the last 2 days
Gray-cheeked Thrush: 1 today
Swainson's Thrush: 30-40+ daily
warbler numbers down slightly since cold fron pasage;
Tennessees & Black-thr. Blues still predominate
Worm-eating Warbler: 1 on the 16th
Ovenbird: 3 yesterday & 6 today (all banded)
Rose-br. Grosbeak: 8-18 daily
Pine Siskin: 1-2 daily
plus the other expected high elevation regulars
There was a light frost on Sunday morning.
