While attending the Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion in
downtown Bristol today, an Abingdon area birder reported
that he observed a White Ibis being chased by a Bald
Eagle at South Holston Lake early this morning.
Joel Keebler, was hunkered down in the corner of the upstairs
stage 2 at the State Line Bar & Grill listening to the music
of Martha Scanian. He recounted the scene observed from
the backyard of his home.
"I was as sober as a judge," he promised while providing
details.
Keebler lives upstream of Avens Bridge on South Holston
Lake in Washington County, VA.
Let's go birding.....
