Area Birders,
Yesterday a Philadelphia Vireo made a brief visit to the walnut tree in our
backyard. That bright yellow throat was unmistakable. Unfortunately, I had left
my camera in the house and didn't get a photo. However, I did get photos of a
female Canada Warbler and a female Common Yellowthroat that came to our pond
stream. Photos can be found at http://www.pbase.com/mayhorn/new_birds&page=2
Other species that came through were female American Redstarts, a male
Black-throated Green, a Chestnut-sided, a bright male Hooded Warbler, a couple
of Magnolia Warblers, several Tennessee Warblers, a Worm-eating Warbler, a
juvenile male Rose-breasted Grosbeak, an Eastern Wood Pewee, Cedar Waxwings, a
Red-eyed Vireo, a couple of Scarlet Tanagers and a Red-shouldered Hawk.
