Cocke Co., TN (Dutch Bottoms (DB), Rankin Bottoms (RB), and vicinity)
I observed the following at midday and shortly thereafter:
Mallard (22)
Mottled Duck (DB--with a few Mallards a short distance offshore at mile marker
31 on Highway 25-E)
Blue-winged Teal (10 RB)
Double-crested Cormorant (38)
Great Blue Heron (18)
Great Egret (67)
Green Heron (3)
Black-crowned Night-Heron (2)
Killdeer (3 RB)
Lesser Yellowlegs (RB)
Ruby-throated Hummingbird (RB)
Eastern Wood-Pewee
White-eyed Vireo (RB)
Northern Rough-winged Swallow (11)
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Swainson's Thrush (2 RB)
