[Bristol-Birds] Hummers moving.

On Sunday afternoon, Sept 11, 2006, I was afield for the afternoon, observing
doves fly at a very high altitude over a hay field and adjacent millet field.
The location was in the lower corner of Sullivan County near Falls Branch.
On four occasions, I observed hummingbirds flying past at a high rate of speed,
all traveling in the same direction. Their pace was so fast, I could not
positively identify the species, but assume they were ruby throats. I had
never seen hummers traveling over open ground, and noticed their flight path to
be somewhat similar to the undulating path of a goldfinch. Probably a little
slower in frequency, but about the same style.
For what it's worth.
