(near Johnson City)
and
Musick's campground on
South Holston Lake
(near Bristol)
Rain from Hurricane Frances apparently
grounded a few south-bound migrant terns
& shorebirds.
at Austin Springs:
Com. Tern - 2
Forster's Tern - 1
Black Tern - 1
Bald Eagle - 1 ad
(plus 5 Forster's / Com. Terns on
lower Boone Lake)
at S. Holston L:
Black-bellied Plover - 3
Semipalmated Plover - 9
Lsr. Yellowlegs - 4
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 26
Least Sandpiper - 1
Com. Tern - 2
Caspian Tern - 3 (present several days)
