Here are a few species I found of interest in Greene Co. today, Sep. 21, 2003.
Clyde Austin 4-H Center:
Palm Warblers - I counted at least 15. I'm sure there were more.
Blue Grosbeaks - 2
Kinser Park:
Great Egrets - 2
Black-crowned NightHerons - 4
Green Heron - 1
Great Blue Heron - 2
Walmart Distribution Center ponds:
Great Egrets - 6
Great Blue Heron 1
Green-winged Teal - 9
Kildeer - 21
Lesser Yellowlegs - 1
Dowitcher sp. - 1
Black Tern - 1 juv., hanging out, sitting in pond with shorebirds
Joachim Bible refuge Unit WMA:
Northern Harrier - 1 juv.
Tree Swallows - hundreds
Green Rd. :
Red-headed Woodpecker - 1
Red-tailed Hawk - 2
Eastern Kingbird - 1
Sapp Rd. :
Great Egret - 1
Great Blue Heron - 3
American Kestrel - 1
Tree Swallows - hundreds
Magnolia Warbler - 1
Blue Grosbeak - 2
