On Monday, Sept. 15, Reece Jamerson, Howard Langridge and Bryan Stevens 
birded at Wilbur Lake and around the Overlook at Watauga Lake from 9 a.m.-noon. 
This area is located near Elizabethton in Carter County, TN.
After a slow start with only a Hooded Warbler, Common Yellowthroat and 
Magnolia Warbler at Wilbur Lake, they went to the Watauga Lake Overlook. There 
they 
ran into a good flock of migrants. 
Highlights:
Philadelphia Vireo (1)
Warbling Vireo (1)
Red-eyed Vireo (2)
Scarlet Tanager (1)
Blackburnian Warbler, Cape May Warbler, Yellow-throated Warbler, Magnolia 
Warbler
as well as White-breasted Nuthatch and Carolina Chickadees

Also had two Common Ravens and two Green Herons.

Later in the afternoon they went to Musick's Campground at South Holston Lake 
in Sullivan County and enjoyed sightings, too, to end the eday with 52 
species. The Musick's tally is being posted by Wallace Coffey.
