[bristol-birds] Rural Retreat Lake

I too, like Wallace Coffey, struck out on the Upland Sandpipers but had a good
time anyway.
I headed out to Rural Retreat Lake in Wythe County yesterday (Sunday the 29th)
to look for the Upland Sandpipers seen by Glen Eller. I did not see them, but
while looking I did find at least four American Pipits hanging out with the
Killdeer in the cornfield opposite the entrance to the lake.
I also found a Lincoln's Sparrow along the old roadbed along the head of the
lake. This is a reliable place to find this sparrow in the fall, at least for
the last three years.
