Today, 8 Sept 2002, Judy Roach and Mary Erwin found a Brown Creeper =
foraging in the trees around our campsite at Roan Mt. State Park, TN.  =
It has been years since I have been fortunate enough to see one of those =
little guys.

Also in the campground over the weekend we saw Black-and-white Warbler, =
Black-throated blue Warbler, Blue-winged Warbler (myself only), Red-eyed =
vireo, and heard Barred owls and Screech owls.

Thanks to the Friends of Roan Mountain group for organizing an excellent =
weekend of field trips and evening speakers, and to Dr. Fred Alsop and =
Larry McDaniel for leading the Sat. and Sun. morning birding trips, =
respectively.  Rick Knight generously demonstrated his banding =
operations for the groups.
