Area Birders,
Today 19 migrant passerine species passed through my backyard, 8 of which
were warblers.
This is the first day that the good birding did not slow down significantly
after the early morning wave.
Around noon in the cherry tree where my feeders hang, and near where my
birdbath is located, there were the following species in the tree or the
bath at one time: An Eastern Kingbird, a Chestnut sided Warbler, a Tennessee
Warbler, an immature Baltimore Oriole, a Black-and-white Warbler, a Northern
Mockingbird, a White-breasted Nuthatch, a Tennessee Warbler, several
Goldfinches and a couple of Song Sparrows.

Here is the complete list of migrants only:

American Robin 25
Baltimore Oriole 1 (immature male)
Black-and-white Warbler 1
Black-throated Green Warbler 3
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher 1
Blue-winged warbler 2
Brown Thrasher 1
Chestnut-sided Warbler 1 (1st year female)
Eastern Kingbird 1
Great-crested Flycatcher 1
Hooded Warbler 1 (male)
Northern Mockingbird 1
Red-eyed Vireo 1
Scarlet Tanager 4
Tennessee Warbler 5
White-eyed Vireo 1
Worm-eating Warbler 1

Yellow-throated Warbler 3

Good Birding,

Roger Mayhorn
