Hi Folks:

The 15th annual South Holston Lake and River Cleanup will be held this 
Saturday, August 11, 2007. Registration begins at 8:00 A.M. at the following 
locations:

Observation Knob will serve as headquarters for the lake cleanup with the 
Weir Dam as the headquarters for the river cleanup (Trout Unlimited). Other 
registration sites include Highway 421 Ramp, Little Oak Ramp, Lake View Dock, 
Washington County Park Ramp, Avens Bridge Ramp, Old Alvarado Station (Creeper 
Trail), and The Boardwalk in Bluff City.  Rubber gloves and bags will furnished 
at 
the sites. 

The cleanup celebration party will be held from 3:30-6:00 at the Observation 
Knob Pavilion. Each participant who collects 3 or more bags of litter will be 
given a wristband that can be turned in for a free tee shirt and admission to 
the celebration--good food, live music, and great door prizes!

Clean water and the surrounding habitat are important to all of us. Please 
join this effort to keep the waters clean for ourselves and for future 
generations. Bring your binoculars for some "just in time" birding while 
looking for 
trash!!!
