[Bristol-Birds] birds at Grayson Highlands State Park, VA

Hi folks,
I know Grayson Highlands State Park is not in NC, but considering
its proximity to the border, and the knowledge that a lot of Carolinians
journey there, I figured the post was necessary. Grayson Highlands is
near Mouth of Wilson VA, and features wonderful trails, many topping out
over 5,000ft.Over the weekend, a nice array of birds were around,
featuring a lot of high-elevation summer specialties.
Turkey Vulture
Cooper's Hawk - 1
Broad-winged Hawk - 3 circling together
Barred Owl - calling behind the campground
Northern Saw-whet Owl - calling behind campground
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Northern Flicker
Eastern Wood-Pewee
Eastern Phoebe
Blue-headed Vireo - singing near campground
Red-eyed Vireo
Blue Jay
Common Raven
American Crow
Barn Swallow
Black-capped Chickadee - most common down the Virginia Highlands Horse
Trail(VHHT)
Tufted Titmouse
Red-breasted Nuthatch - throughout
Brown Creeper - one down VHHT
Carolina Wren
Winter Wren - down VHHT
Golden-crowned Kinglet - throughout
Hermit Thrush - 1 singing near campground
American Robin
Cedar Waxwing
Chestnut-sided Warbler - fall plumaged and throughout
Magnolia Warbler - adults and young feeding on blueberries
Black-throated Blue Warbler - first year female
Yellow-rumped Warbler - a family... - evident breeding down the VHHT
Scarlet Tanager
Eastern Towhee
Chipping Sparrow
Field Sparrow
Song Sparrow
Dark-eyed Junco
American Goldfinch
