A Sunday morning jaunt (17 Aug) to the Limestone area in Washington Co. (TN)
produced the following:
Wilson's Snipe - 1, at West View pond (first of season)
Horned Lark - 7+, including some immatures.
Great Egret - 3
plus single Solitary, Spotted & Pectoral sandpipers.
Also of note:
at Carver's Gap, on Roan Mtn., Red Crossbills are being seen daily, getting
grit from the gravel parking lot. Up to 8+ birds, providing great looks.
