western Greene County--brief stops at Wal-Mart Distribution Center (WMDC),
Joachime Bible Refuge unit of Lick Creek Bottoms Wildlife Management Area
(JBR), Lick Creek Bottoms Wildlife Management Area unit at intersection of
Mason Lodge Road and Smelser Road (LCBWMA-MLR), and miscellaneous other sites
observers: Susan Hubley, David Kirschke, Don Miller
Two and a half hours of after-work birding this evening produced some nice
finds. Notables include:
Northern Bobwhite (4, LCBWMA-MLR, etc.)
Spotted Sandpiper (Baughard Hill Road)
Yellow-billed Cuckoo (2, JBR, etc.)
Ruby-throated Hummingbird (LCBWMA-MLR)
Red-headed Woodpecker (2, Green Road 0.3 mile from Highway 348)
Eastern Kingbird (8)
White-eyed Vireo (LCBWMA-MLR)
Purple Martin (11)
Tree Swallow (7)
Northern Rough-winged Swallow
Barn Swallow (48)
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (4)
Brown Thrasher
