On Tuesday, May 1, Gil Derouen, Reece Jamerson and Bryan Stevens
visited Paddlecreek Pond in Bristol, TN.
In addition to the resident Mute Swan, we found a single Mallard drake.
Shorebirds present included:
Least Sandpipers- 6
Lesser Yellowlegs- 2
Wilson's Snipe- 1
Spotted Sandpiper- 4
Solitary Sandpiper- 9
Killdeer- 1
We also had a Great Blue Heron as well as such birds as Eastern
Kingbirds, Eastern Meadowlarks and Barn Swallows.
Earlier, at Austin Springs on Boone Lake near Johnson City, we had two
Green Herons.
At Musick's Campground, S. Holston Lake, we had two Ospreys, a Yellow
Warbler, Common Loon and a mix of Bonaparte's and Ring-billed Gulls.
