Hey Rack,
It was a good shorebird weekend for the Bush Hog pond. Saturday 20 MAY
2006, Rob Biller, Dianne Draper and I found 24 Short-billed Dowitchers there.

This afternoon at a farm pond on Bush Hog Blvd. in Washington County I located
a good flock of shorebirds. The peeps were winning the ID battle so a closer
look was needed. At close range the verdict was Westerns. Harassing the peeps
were White-rumps and a few Semi-pal. Plovers. Upon retreat I saw Reece Jamerson
had pulled in and he confirmed, from way back there, the Westerns and
White-rumped. Here is the good stuff:
.
Green Heron - 1
Semi-palmated Plover - 3
Lesser Yellowlegs - 1
Spotted Sandpiper - 1
Western Sandpiper - 9
White-rumped Sandpiper - 4
Warbling Vireo - 2 (singing)
Cedar Waxwing - 1
Baltimore Oriole -1 (male)

'Til we bird again
