- From: "Wallace Coffey" <jwcoffey@xxxxxxxxxx>
- To: "Bristol-birds" <bristol-birds@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>
- Date: Mon, 16 May 2005 21:47:04 -0400
Remember that Tuesday, May 17, is this month's meeting of the Bristol Bird
Club. The meeting is held at 7:30 p.m. at the East Tennessee State University
- Bristol Center located on the Volunteer Parkway in Bristol, TN.
OUR MAY PROGRAM
Former BBC president and current V.P. Dave Worley will give a PowerPoint
presentation of his recent March birding trip to Costa Rico where he spent more
than a week with a group of area birders.
ELECTION OF NEW OFFICERS
Also on the agenda is the election of officers for 2005-2006. The nominating
committee has nominated Bill Grigsby as president, Vice President Larry
McDaniel, Vice President Dave Worley, Treasurer Janice Martin and Secretary
Diana Worley. Also to be elected are five state director's seats. Directors
will be elected from our current directors Wallace Coffey, Larry McDaniel, Dave
Worley, Bill Grigsby, Tom McNeil or from among any other names placed in
nomination from the floor.
Anyone who wants to place any name in nomination for one of these offices may
do so Tuesday prior to the election. Those elected will take office at the BBC
picnic set for June 11 at Steele Creek Park.
The offices of assistant treasurer, curator and statistician are appointed by
the new president
DINNER AT THE MAD GREEK
Don't forget that many of our members gather at the Mad Greek Restaurant at 6
p.m. for dinner and to get caught up on everything going on. It is always a
good time and good fellowship. It is one of the better ways to meet BBC folks
and get to know each other better.
The Mad Greek is located just a short distance towards the main section of
Bristol from the Bristol Motor Speedway. The restaurant is across from Avoc
school and across from the Bristol Tennessee Electric System.
We look forward to seeing you there Thursday night.! Come join our fellowship.
Let's go birding....
