[bristol-birds] Warbler nests and other birds

Bristol Area Birders,
I have a pair of Yellow Warblers nesting in a maple tree about 12 feet up,
just outside our bedroom window. I hope to get some good photos (from a
distance of course) when they start feeding their young.
Today a Yellow-throated Warbler stayed around the yard all day and sang
incessantly. I'm hoping he will be nesting nearby.
A Yellow-breasted chat is nesting somewhere near the edge of the yard in the
field. He has been doing his thing all day. Earlier on one of the warmer
nights he serenaded us most of the night. It's great to listen to them sing
at night.
I have a pair of Gray Catbirds, a pair of Brown Thrashers and a pair of
Robins all nesting in the shrubbery around the yard.
A pair of Carolina Wrens is nesting in the end of my overturned canoe which
hangs on the wall of an out building. They started nesting earlier in the
other end of the canoe, but something happened to their brood.
I have three broods of Bluebirds in nest boxes. Two of the broods will
fledge within the next few days. One brood started out with four young. When
I checked them a few days ago there were only two. Today I found one of
those two dead in the nest. I attribute the deaths to one of two factors;
the extreme cold we have had lately, 30F, or the fact that we found a dead
male Bluebird a short while ago. Possibly the mother isn't able to find
enough food because of the cold.

Good Birding,
