Tuesday, 4/12, I found a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher in our woods on Glen Alpine
Road. Later in the morning, I saw a Bald Eagle perched on a tree on the north
bank of the Holston River to the west of the Wilcox Avenue bridge as I drove
into town. On Wdnesday, 4/13, there were three Chimney Swifts flying over
Church Circle at about 8 p.m. Today, at about 7:45 p.m. I had a male
Ruby-throated
Hummingbird visit our "nectar" feeder for the first time in 2006. John
Moyle Glen Alpine Road Sullivan County
