[Bristol-Birds] Ovenbirds and Gnatcatchers - Breaks Park - Buchanan Co., VA

Bristol Birders,
I made a quick trip to the Breaks this morning. New birds for 2006 for me
included Ovenbirds (5), Blue-Gray Gnatcatchers (4), and Brown Thrashers (2).
Others warblers included Black-throated Green Warblers, Black & White Warblers,
and Yellow-throated Warblers. I was half expecting a Hooded but no luck yet.
I got a quick glimpse of a female merganser on Laurel Lake - think it may
have been a Hooded Merganser. Also got a great look at a Cooper's Hawk sitting
above the road. A single Coot is still on the lake and a Red-shouldered Hawk
was heard.
