Here's an update on the Yellow-crowned Night-Herons:

at Sycamore Shoals State Park -  1 foraging at shoals, 
none seen at last year's nest, no other nests seen.

Blackbottom Shoals - 4 pairs at nests & 1 other pair
nest-building.  (same as previous reports).

Race Dr. (i.e., across river from Moose Lodge) -
3 pairs at nests (up 2 pr. from previous reports)
These can be seen from the Moose Lodge side,
just park in the gravel pull-out beside power pole.

Total = 8 pairs plus a single bird.  Wow!
(did not check Hunter Swamp)

Also saw an Osprey, 6 Blue-wg. Teal,
7 Bufflehead, & heard a White-eyed Vireo.
