Pied-billed Grebes - 6
Double-crested Cormorants - 59
Great Blue Herons - 9 occupied nests
Ruddy Duck - 1
Wood Duck - 4
Canada Geese
Mallards
Redhead - 4
Northern Shoveler - 2
Blue-winged Teal - 6
Bald Eagle - 1 adult flew over the heronry and caused quite a raucous - circled
the area for a few minutes and then headed toward the dam
American Coot - 50+
Eastern Phoebes - building nests under our dock
Barn Swallows
Tree Swallows
Purple Martins
Eastern Bluebirds - nests appear complete in two bluebird boxes
Cedar Waxwings - 12
-a quick stop at the Cherokee Boat Dock on 11W this afternoon yielded 12-15
Bonaparte's Gulls, a few Great Blue Herons, and Black Vultures
-checked the Beech Creek Bridge on Tunnel Hill Road for Cliff Swallows on
Tuesday, 4/3 - none seen
