Spent the last couple of hours in this location.
2 Green Herons first of the year. Suspect nesting or at least courtship as
it's my first encounter of two of these birds together.
1 Osprey
9 Wood ducks with 2 confirmed nesting/nest-building.
1 pine Warbler
6 Wild turkeys.
9 White Tail deer.
Highly recommended location. There are acres and acres of public land with
wetlands, multiple streams, 4 or 5 springs. Large stands of hardwood and
evergreen and a nice grassy area provided by the power lines. It is rare
that I share this site with only an occasional fly fisherman. (Go when the
river in generating and 0 fisherman.) Parking is a little tough in a car,
but easy in a truck, or at least a car with ground clearance, I take my
Toyota Avalon.
Map is on my website under locations.
