I am getting caught up on a few observations from recent days.
April 6 alone at Musick's Campground, South Holston Lake:
Eared Grebe 4 (two in beautiful breeding colors)
Double-crested Cormorant 19
Red-breasted Merganser 7
Pied-billed Grebe 12
Bonaparte's Gull 73
Ring-billed Gull 84
Tree Swallow 8
White-crowned Sparrow 3
April 5 with Larry McDaniel at Crumley Pond, Paddle Creek Rd.
Ring-necked Duck 7
Gadwall 4
American Coot 1
Pied-billed Grebe 2
Hooded Merganser 5
American Wigeon 2
April 5 with Larry McDaniel at Middlebrook Lake, Bristol, TN
Chimney Swit 1 (our first bird this spring)
Rough-winged Swallow 1
April 4 alone at Rooty Branch Road Wetlands near South Holston Lake
Yellow-throated Warbler 1 (also my first of spring)
Wood Duck 7
