Even tho rain and wind prevailed, it's been a fine birding day!
The morning began with an osprey perched in tree about 100 ft. from the porch - 
he preened himself and allowed me to watch for over an hour. At the same time, 
the wood ducks came into the cove: 3 males, 1 female. A while later nature 
called and a trip to the bathroom - out the bathroom window were 2 pairs of 
wood ducks perched on tree limbs in the cove right at eye level. A great early 
morning and all from inside the house.  The wood ducks stayed around all 
morning.
Others seen from the porch today include:

Great Egret (1)
Great Blue Heron
Canada Geese
Blue-winged Teal (a pair in the cove, up close and personal)
Ring-billed Gull
Mourning Dove
Downy Woodpecker
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Blue Jays

Carolina Chickadee
Tufted Titmouse
Carolina Wrens
Eastern Bluebird pair
American Robin
Brown Thrasher
Cedar Waxwings (flock of 30+)
European Starlings
Yellow-rumped Warblers
Northern Cardinals
Eastern Towhees
Chipping Sparrow (1)
Song Sparrows
White-throated Sparrows
White-crowned Sparrow (1)
Red-winged Blackbirds
Brown-headed Cowbird pair
House Finches
